In memory of
Quinn Elliott AFCM/Lcdr US Navy Retired
August 16, 2025
Just saw this obit. I was a young Airman in 1963 in VT-2 Power Plants shop Whiting Field. Bogie was a Second Class as I recall, He, along with many other Good Men, was my mentor and sea daddy for some 3 years. I learned much from him and the others. My career went on in different directions, did not see Bogie again until about 1992 just before I retired from Millington NAS. I went down to the shop one day and there he was, no doubt. He says along the line of "who are you" I told him, he says without cracking a smile, you were the slowest sob I ever saw. I couldn't help but burst out laughing, The Navy/Military camaderie, not, or rarely encountered in civilian life was on full display. Fair Winds and following seas Shipmate, never forget you.

I remember him helping my best friend Randy Schaaf change out rear ends on his '57 back in '73 so he could race down in the bottoms. No charge. Got out of the Navy in '90, moved back to Millington and have never taken my cars any where else. I feel lucky, and blessed, to be counted as one of your friends. Luvya Bogie. Hope to see you in Heaven. I know you're there, just a question of how long it'll take me.
