Eve Scharf

Eve Scharf of Hartsdale, NY, and formerly of Oceanside, NY, passed away on December 17, 2008. Eve was born in Germany and immigrated with her parents to New York shortly after Kristallnacht. She was an accomplished artist, a supporter of Jewish causes and a frequent volunteer worker. Eve was the loving and devoted wife of 63 years to Seymour Scharf. In addition to him, she is survived by her three sons and their wives, Jared and Barbara of Rye Brook, Larry and Barbie of Santa Rosa, CA, and Ron and Robin of Niskayuna, NY; as well as by six adoring grandchildren, Adam and his wife Heather, Jonathan and his wife Yuliya, Brian, Rio, Zoe and Emily. Funeral services were held on December 18 in White Plains. Donations may be made in her name to Temple Israel Center, 280 Old Mamaroneck Road, White Plains, NY.
