EVELYN DONOHUE Obituary
Age 94, of Monroeville, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Tuesday, October 6, 2015. Beloved wife of the late James G. Donohue; loving mother of Mary Carol (David) Wykoff, Margaret Ann (Roy) Jameson, James "Bud" (Heather) G. Donohue, Jr., and the late Harry (Roxanne) Nile; grandmother of Kevin (Vanessa) Jameson, Caitlin Wykoff, Lauren Jameson, and Haley Koontz Donohue; great- grandmother of Shay Jameson; sister of the late Betty Schwan; also survived by several nieces. Evelyn was the managing editor of the Journal of Ethnology in the Anthropology Dept. at the University of Pittsburgh. Evelyn was the former president/treasurer of the Forbes Regional Auxiliary and volunteered at the Forbes Hospital Gift Shop. She was a member of the Edgewood Country Club and loved animals, bridge, crossword puzzles, Broadway musicals, and reading novels. Friends will be received Thursday 1-3 and 6-8 p.m. at the JOBE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, INC. (MONROEVILLE / PLUM CHAPEL), corner of (445) Beatty Rd. and 48 North, Monroeville (412-856-4747). Mass of Christian Burial at North American Martyrs Parish Friday, 10:30 a.m. Private interment will be held in Calvary Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Animal Rescue League, 6620 Hamilton Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15206.
