EVELYN PINKERTON Obituary
Of Avalon, peacefully passed away at her home on Monday, October 27, 2014, age 87. Beloved wife for 60 years of Thomas Charles Pinkerton, who preceded Evelyn to heaven in 2007; devoted mother of Patti (Tim) Fader and Tom (Betsy) Pinkerton; dear grandmother of Alyssa (Jeff) DeKuiper, Jason (Heather) Fader, Eli (Bethany) Fader, Caleb (Krista) Fader, Ryan (Rebekah) Pinkerton, and Lesley Pinkerton; and 12 great- grandchildren. Evelyn loved serving others through volunteer work with Suburban Hospital Auxiliary, Avalon Library, Community Outreach Program, Trinity Lutheran Church, and caring for friends. She dedicated her life to loving and praying for her family. Friends received Thursday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at ORION C. PINKERTON FUNERAL HOME, INC., 1014 California Avenue, Avalon. A Celebration of Evelyn's life will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. in the Trinity Lutheran Church, 638 California Ave., Avalon. EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, where Evelyn was a member for 65 years.

Patti and Tom, I am so very sad to hear of your loss. Your Mom was always such a kind "special" Mom. My memories of her when I was a child were her smile and her enthusiasm. We are so sorry for your loss. In the short time Evelyn was at New Hope she became a friend to many. She was a kind and delightful, cheerful person and will be missed.

I am a neighbor of Evelyn's and she always made me happy when I saw her. She always had a smile and a
kind word and a little 'twinkle" in her eye. I shall miss

I worked with Evelyn in the ER and she was a wonderful person to work with. She was so very kind and gracious and fun. Suburban will not be the same without her-she lifted up the patients and the staff. Even in sickness, Evelyn was a saint. She won the race-she's in heaven now.
