Evelyn Pitassi

Evelyn (Palmisciano) Pitassi, 87, passed away on September 8, 2013. She was the wife of the late Tullio A. Pitassi. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Emilio and Assunta (Pitassi) Palmisciano.

Evelyn was employed as an inspector of sterling silver at Gorham Manufacturing Company of Providence. She enjoyed baking delicious Italian cookies, traveling to Italy with her husband Tullio, and preparing and serving Italian toast to her dog Blake for breakfast.

Evelyn is survived by her two sons Tullio D. Pitassi, Ph.D. and his wife Antoinette of Glocester, Steven A. Pitassi and his wife Cathy, with whom she resided, of North Providence, and the light of her life, granddaughter, Stephanie Pitassi. Evelyn was the sister of the late Peter Palmisiano and Anna Neri. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and her devoted caregivers Joan, Kathleen, Penny, Marie, and Mike.

Visitation and funeral will be held Wednesday, 8:30-10:30 a.m. from the PONTARELLI-MARINO Home, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Ann Church, 280 Hawkins Street, Providence.
