Of course my deepest sympathies go out to the entire Warburg family. Peter, as his darling Sue always referred to him, will be sorely missed for so many reasons. He was devoted to his family and a treasure to this friends. I met him shortly after I relocated to San Francisco in the late 1970s. It was always lively and stimulating to be in his presence and Sue's. I had the good fortune of also working with him on any number of public interest projects. And, for a number of years in the 1990's, Peter "hung his hat" in my offices at the Hearst Building, where we had the good fortune of working on projects together but, more importantly, spending time together on a virtually daily basis, talking about so many experiences, common interests and politics.
Just this last week, in rummaging through my many storage boxes of photos, I discovered some wonderful photographs of him, Sue and the days when we worked together. I will plan to get some of these photos to family so you might enjoy some of these memories.
I am interested in making contact with you, and wonder if you are planning any sort of memorial gathering.
