Published by Legacy Remembers from Sep. 25 to Sep. 26, 2009.
SUNRISE, FL Florence Lucille ''Flo'' Snyder, Jr., 45, formerly of York, was carried to heaven by the Lord's angels on Saturday, September 19, 2009. Born July 30, 1964, in York, Florence was the daughter of the late Curvin Snyder, Jr., and Florence L. (Langley) Snyder Englar and Jesse Englar of York. Flo graduated from York Suburban High School and attended and graduated from the Barbizon Modeling School in Florida. She also attended Bauder Fashion and Modeling College in Florida where she received a degree in Modeling. As well as modeling she also worked as a bar maid. Flo truly loved life and will always be in the hearts of her family and friends. In addition to her parents, Flo leaves to cherish her memory one sister, Sherri Detter; three brothers, Curvin Snyder, III, Bill Snyder, and Ben Snyder; sister-inlaw, Helen Snyder; brotherin-law, Mark Cramer; nephews and nieces, Curvin Snyder, IV, Whitney Snyder, Ben Snyder, II, Brittany Snyder, Brandon Snyder, Bethany Snyder, Kristin Detter, Berlyn Snyder, and Kayla Detter; and a host of family and friends. She was preceded in death by a sister, Sandy S. Snyder Cramer, and a nephew, Wesley Snyder. Viewings will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday, September 27, and from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at the Gladfelter Funeral Home, 822 E. Market St., York, PA 17403. The celebration of Flo's life will begin at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with Sister Monica officiating. Burial will immediately follow the service in Prospect Hill Cemetery. To the family of "Foozie", I am extremely saddened and shocked at the loss of one of the most beautiful persons I had the pleasure to know. Foozie was like a big sister to me and you all were like my second family. We've shared a ton of laughs and cried on each others shoulder. And even though we drifted apart, she was always in my thoughts and will forever be in my heart!!
No one can know the heaviness your hearts hold, but have hope that time will lessen your sorrow and take comfort in all of the wonderful memories you've shared. I pray that someday Foozie and I will reunite so I can tell her how much I've missed her and luv her.
May God bless you all.

To all who loved Foozie,
I had the honor of meeting Foozie at Roll R Way! We had great times there but even greater times at "Gambits" our favorite club in Maryland! She always brought smiles to everyone she knew. I was truly shocked to hear of her passing, and would like her family to know how deeply I feel their sorrow.
To my friend Foozie, until we meet again know that your life here will never be forgotten!

I am so sorry I was unable to attend the services but I want you all to know that since I had found out about Foozies passing, I find myself praying even more for you all to find comfort and strength in due time. Its so hard for any of us to understand ... I can only imagine what you feel and how you feel. I am truly at a loss for words, she will FOREVER be in my heart and I guess no words will ever be of comfort. I know it will take a long time for even me to accept. My memories are great ones, not only of Fooz but the whole family and the times on Camp Betty. My prayers are with you all and I pray that Foozie will give you all the strength, beauty, and love that she had as she lived her life to the absolute fullest. May god bless you all and keep you in his care.

I want to offer my sympathy to the family, you will be in my thoughts and prayers. Foozie was such a bright light for all of us who were lucky enough to know her, it is heartbreaking that she is gone. I went all through school with Foozie, we met in first grade. We spent a lot of time together after we graduated and before she moved to Florida, I remember lots of laughter and fun, talks about life and love, and loss, I feel very blessed to have these memories and I am so sorry that we lost touch over the years, but she is one of the friends that will always be very close in my heart. Foozie was one of a kind and she spread joy and light everywhere she went. Seeing all the wonderful pictures at her service, I could tell she had a great life and that light was still shining bright, she loved life and she rocked it !! When I first heard of her passing I got out my old yearbooks and read the messages from Foozie for each year, in every message to me she ended with the same two sentences, "I love you" and "friends till the end"
I think that says it all.
God Bless
Sincerely,
Kelly Furey Weiderhold

If tears could build a stairway and memories were a lane,
We would walk all the way to Heaven, to bring you home again
No farewell words were spoken, no time to say good-bye
You were gone before we knew it, and only God knows why
Our hearts ache in sadness, and secret tears will flow
What is meant to lose you, no one will ever know
? Oh how I love & miss you my sweet Lil Flo!
My prayers continue for the family & friends of Flo! She was a ray of sunshine everywhere she went, positive and happy! I know she is in the hands of God cradled with love watching over us! I pray that God gives us each the strength and comfort thru this difficult time.
Your forever friend,
NIX

To the family of Foozie, we went to high school together. She was 2 yrs younger than me and we became friends and she was delightfully very cool and had a personality that was for the ages. Countless nights hanging out at the Old Shady Dell are times that are forever cherished. We lost contact throughout the years but the memories will always remain. I deeply saddened, my prayers to the family and to those who were close to her and loved her. R.I.P. Fooz!

I am so very sad and offer my sincerest sympathies to her family and everyone that loved her. Foozie and I were the best of friends in our school days. We reconnected on Classmates.com in January of this year and she convinced me to join Facebook so we could stay in regular contact and share in one another's lives. I am forever grateful to her for this. Although it had been so many years since we communicated it seemed like no time had gone by. We simply picked up where we left off. She was beautiful, funny, sweet, caring and kind and was clearly loved by many. She always posted inspirational quotes and I am certain she would want everyone who cared for her to live life to the fullest with her in mind because that's what she did. She lived her life to the fullest. I will miss her very much. Sincerely, Felicia Silver (Turk)
