Even though I did not have the pleasure of knowing Fran Powers, I thank her for her part in making her granddaughter, Madison Powers Cooper into such a fine young lady.

I express my sympathy to all of the Powers family. Some of you I meet at Madison's and Alex's wedding on July 23rd and am pleased that Alex gained a new family that will be such a blessing to him in his life ahead.

May your grief soon be replaced with many wonderful memories.

Fran was a very sweet lady, a great Christian example for all of us and that is the way she will be remembered.

Ms. Fran was an icon in our church and in our community. The service that she did for others was witnessed by me at a very early age as she came down to our house every Saturday to wash and roll my mother's hair for church on Sunday. Ms. Fran did this for many years and without a doubt was someone my family could always count on. She and Ms. O'Rand were always together as best friends and would do anything to help anyone in need. She was an immaculate housekeeper and wonderful mother. She is someone who inspired me to become a better person. Always friendly, always outgoing, and always focused on doing God's work....she is at peace in Heaven. Donna Odom Spigner

Simple words can not express how much I loved, and admired Ms Fran. Such a beautiful, loving, and gracious lady. Always smiling, always glad to see you even when she was not feeling well. She was one of the finest Christian ladies I have ever known. She and Ward were what being a Godly Christian couple is about. Dixie and I are praying for all the family who are left here, but yet knowing there will be a joyous reunion for them and all of us who knew and loved her.

I was so sad to hear about Mrs. Fran! What a beautiful lady inside and out! I will always remember her beautiful smile! God gained a beautiful angel July 31st! She will always be loved and truly missed! My thoughts and prayers will be with the whole family! Love, Gail Gordon
