Mrs. Hergert, Shelley, Corinne, Russell (oldest to youngest) and families,
We were saddened to hear of the passing of Mr. Hergert. It has been many years since we last saw him, but we will always remember his kindness, jokes, laughter and of course that beautiful smile that radiated through his eyes. He touched many hearts and was never stingy with his love. It was very apparent that he loved his wife and his kids with all his heart. He is gone from this earth, but not gone from our hearts. Mr. Hergert will find my mom in heaven and they will tell each other funny stories of their children and watch over us with love and adoration. We watched the live feed and what a wonderful tribute to a wonderful man. I am 100% sure that your dad is beaming with pride as he watches over you now...wrapping his arms around you as your hearts are filled with sorrow.
Our family sends our love, hugs and condolences.
God Bless
Alan, Linda, Samantha, Lindsay and Matt Hamilton

Irene and family - The only possible way to remember Fritz was with a big smile on his face. Many fond memories of the 1953/54 Bronks football fellowship. A real gentleman.

Dear Hergerts. I didn't really know your father well yet the one time I did spend some quality time with him and his fine wife, daughter, grand son, and son in law, it was a grand evening of conversation, mirth, and familial comradery. Fred was engaging, insightful and fulfilled the role of family patriarch magnificently. Certainly...as we are promised...where Fred is now, the fullest and finest of his qualities are being put to use...and will be...forever. Respectfully

I worked with Fred at The City and I recall our many discussions about whether it was better to have been brought up in Riverside as opposed to Eau Claire. He never lost the argument.

Our sincere sympathy to the Hergert family. We have many fond memories of Fred. I worked with him at the City of Calgary, and we shared going to St. Matthews with Fred and his family. He would brighten up a room just by walking in. We still remember, and talk about some of his favorite little jokes.
Was saddened to hear this news.
