Obituary

Gary Guenther, age 67, of Grand Forks, ND and formerly of Neche, ND, died on Monday, August 15, 2005 at his home. Gary Guenther was born September 11, 1937, at Neche, ND to Frank and Lillian (Hughes) Guenther. He grew up and attended school at Neche and then served in the U.S. Army in Germany. After his discharge from the service in 1964, he moved to Grand Forks. Gary was employed at Old Dutch in East Grand Forks, MN, Simplot and Nodak Rural Electric in Grand Forks. On November 20, 1965, he married JoAnn Larson at the Neche United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife, JoAnn, son, Gerald Guenther, Mandan, ND; sisters, Linda (Lee) DeMars, Neche, ND; and Dena Grube, Fargo, ND; brother, Larry (Diann) Guenther, Kindred, ND. Gary was preceded in death by his parents. Online guest book may be signed at www.askewfuneralhome.com. Clergy: Rev. John Price and Rev. Larry Guenther. Military Rites by the Gainer - McAndrews Post #242, Neche American Legion. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, August 20, 2005, at 10:00 a.m. at the Neche United Methodist Church, Neche, ND. Visitation will be held on Friday, August 14th from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. with a 6;00 p.m. prayer service at the Gregory J. Norman Funeral Home, Grand Forks, ND. Visitation at the church for one hour before the time of services in the church. Burial in the Park Center Cemetery, Neche, ND. Arrangements with Jensen-Askew Funeral Home, Cavalier, ND.
