GENE MCKENNA

Gene Vonna Russell McKenna 1930 ~ 2009 Gene McKenna, age 79, passed away on November 9, 2009 at her home in American Fork, Utah.She was born in Idaho Falls, Idaho on March 6, 1930 to Athus and LaVera Russell. Gene is survived in her 57 year marriage by her husband Doug and their four children: Craig, Lee, Crystal and Shauna, as well as her sisters Glenda and Audrey and brother Bruce. She was also blessed with nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Her sister LaDean and brothers DeLoss, Don and Francis preceded her in death. Gene graduated from Ricks College in Rexburg, Idaho with a teaching degree and spent 35 years as an educator. She loved teaching and playing music and singing. Gene was a wonderful wife, mother, sister, neighbor and friend. Funeral services will be held Friday, November 13, 2009 at 10:00 a.m in the LDS Chapel on 700 N. 350 West, American Fork, with a Viewing from 8:45 to 9:45 a.m. Burial, American Fork Cemetery.
