George Humphrey, beloved husband of Elaine Humphrey (nee Cadman) of Calgary, passed away on Monday, April 7, 2014 at the age of 87 years. George was born in Mannville, AB and grew up in Vancouver, BC. He moved to Calgary after joining the Navy, and married his wife Elaine on September 24, 1949. George started his career as an accountant, until he discovered his passion as a stock broker. He enjoyed his annual holiday to Christina Lake, BC where the family vacationed at Kingsley's Campground. He was a wonderful singer and a big fan of the Rat Pack. George was a values driven man who lived his life with great integrity. He is survived by his loving wife Elaine; son Fred and daughter-in-law Janet Humphrey of Huntington Beach, California; daughter Debbie Muir of Calgary, and daughter Vicki Humphrey of High River; and his five grandchildren Amy, Cayley, Andrew, Ryan and Lily. He was predeceased by his nine sisters. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com. In living memory of George Humphrey, a tree will be planted at Big Hill Springs Park, Cochrane.
