LEONTY, George Passed away Tuesday August 17, 2004 at Hotel Dieu Hospital at the age of 95 years. Beloved husband of the late Margaret (August 2002). Beloved son of the late Onefrei and Domnica. Dear brother of Flora Gibbs of Burlington, ON., and her late husband "Boots", Margaret Leonty of Windsor, Marie Geraghty and husband Frank of Houston, TX., and the late John Leonty, Cassandra Leonty, Elsie Cruickshank and her late husband Jim and Bill Leonty and his surviving wife Marjorie of Windsor. Dear uncle of many nieces and nephews. Mr. Leonty was retired following many years of service at Daimler Chrysler Ltd. Mr. Leonty was a long time member of St. George's Romanian Orthodox Cathedral, and enjoyed bowling and playing cards with his fellow Seniors from the Church. Prior to Margaret's passing in 2002 George and his wife spent countless hours fishing for perch on Lake St. Clair. Visiting at the WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME, 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E., on Thursday August 19, 2004 from 6-9 p.m. Prayers Thursday at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Service Friday August 20th at 10:00 a.m. in the Windsor Chapel. Rev. Fr. George Sandulescu officiating. Interment to follow at Windsor Memorial Gardens Cemetery. As your expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Ontario Heart & Stroke Foundatilon.
