I first heard Mr. Purvis speak when I was age 17, in the PALIC auditorium/ cafeteria at 2400 Canal St. Much later after I had retired from PALIC he would telephone me on my every birthday just to keep in touch. He was a great leader and a very good man.

Lived next to the Purvis' for 24 years until Katrina. Saw Frank occasionally thereafter. A bright, friendly man of integrity, a man I was priviledged to know.---STEVE KATZ
