Dear Family,
I have only met George on a flight simming forum, but even during those short talks in written form I could tell that he was a great guy, always being friendly and humorous. I am certain he will be sorely missed by many people. My heart goes out to everyone who has ever known him.

Im very sad to hear of George passing away, I did not know George in real life only on the flightsim forums and after reading more about him in his obituary what a life he lead and what achievments also, you should all be very proud of him and im sure you are and look back on the full life he has lead with you all and remember all the funny and daft things you all got up to. My condolences to all his family in this very sad time.
Take care all of you,

Dear Family,
I never met George in person but only through the international flight simulation community. He was always patient, witty and a help to all those who needed it. We will miss him. May God heal your broken hearts for your loss.

I am so sad to hear of George's sudden passing. I have never met George personally but as a member of a flying forum I have known George for most of the time I have been doing my training as a new pilot and I have valued his advice and wonderful sense of humour. I know how much he loved his flight simulator and I think he knew more about flying around Australia than most of us. I will truly miss not being able to come to the U.S. to go Bass fishing with him.
My sincerest condolences to all of his family.

As another of George's (I knew him as Kingfish42) online acquaintances via the Australian web forum he used to actively participate in, I found his wide experience and easy going manner a refreshing perspective on any topic he chose to share his thoughts on. He will be sorely missed but never forgotten. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and close friends.
Kind regards,

I never met George, being on the other side of the world from him, but was an internet friend to him for several years. I posted him some old flying charts so he could fly his flight simulator in Australia, which he then posted screen shots and flight reports on my straight and level down under forum. They were always a great read. I was quite distressed to hear of his passing. My deepest sympathies to his family.

Dear Rita,
I know I only met you once while flight simming with George and Dana Atwood at your house, but I feel like I have known George a lifetime. He was such a wonderful guy and such a good and patient teacher. I looked forward to every subsequent meeting I had with him, as flight simming with George was "an event." I am so sorry for your loss and I shall miss George very much.
With my deepest sympathy,
Dr. Jim De Lucas

Rita – I’m so sorry to hear about George’s sudden passing. I think you know how much his friendship meant to me and others who shared his passion for all things aviation, especially flight simulation. I will greatly miss his kindness, patience, generosity, and good-natured sense of humor. Please know that you and your whole family are in our thoughts. – Dana

Dear Rita, I shall never forget the
marvelous, technically exact lesson that George gave to me on how to sail a catamarran. I shall sorely miss not having him greet me at your front door with the words "Hi Goofy." That he loved you very deeply was always so evident- his touch on your shoulder as he passed by you through the dining room. My thoughts are with you and all your family. Pat Macomber

Rita,
How my heart goes out to you. George was a very special guy. I counted it as an honor to be considered one of his "goofy" friends. His obvious devotion to his family, his gentleness, his single-minded pursuit of excellence -- we will never forget him.
May you find peace and comfort in the love George had for you.
Love, Naomi

Your Dad was a great guy.
I only met him once at the Thanksgiving Day Race but I could tell he was very proud of you.
We'll keep you and your family in our prayers.
