I am blessed and honored to have been a part of Greg’s life. He always made people feel like they mattered. Greg was a kind and thoughtful person who was quick to compliment others. His smile and sense of humor were contagious. Yet he had a very serious, thought-provoking and inquisitive side. Greg will be missed greatly by those who were privileged to know him.

I am so honored to have called Greg my friend. We have had many long talks and many more laughs together. Greg had an awesome sense of humor and was extremely witty and always had a quick smile for anyone. Greg volunteered his crafty skills at the Northern Lakes Center, and he was greatly appreciated by our members. We will miss him very much and will hold a place for him in our hearts.

My sweet brother, it’s hard to come up with words. As I read the memories a smile spreads across my face. Mom said you were sometimes referred to as a gentle giant. Gentle, kind, funny, loving, empathic, a joy to be around and as the team at Trigs pharmacy said a very bright light that made their job more enjoyable. You made my life brighter. You helped me become the person I am today, with my passion, career path and life choices. I will forever be grateful. My life has been enriched, touched by your love and empathy and also by being introduced to all your friends. Rest easy. Say hi to dad. Have fun with Freddy and watch football with Matt up in heaven. Love you forever. Your big sister. Deborah

Greg was a pleasure to speak with. His stories. His polite directness. A very kind man I will never forget.

Greg was always present when conversing. He was a kind and caring person, with a sense of humor, quick wit, and what I loved most about him, a man of strong faith in his Savior Jesus Christ. ( And I'll never forget how he made me laugh in laugh therapy at NAMI!)

I knew Greg for 20 years. I met Greg through mutual friends when I first moved to Rhinelander. He was always friendly and offered to help me out with my move. I remember when he had a 4th of July Party at his house. We had a great time and could see the fireworks from his backyard! He was always wanting to help others and got very involved in volunteer work. I remember the first time I met his dog Fred. RIP peace my friend.

I first met Greg around 1990 at a singles club, that he was later the President of. Then we were reacquainted at The Get-2-Gether (he was President of that for awhile too.) I remember hanging out with him sometimes. His Oscars crashing into each other in his fish tank. His Jack Russell Terrier. Playing "Buzz" (7s and multiples of 7.). The orange t-shirts, the Hard Rock Cafe T-shirts, and lots of other fun times. He was a kind person, and a great friend to all who knew him.

My favorite part of knowing Greg was the way he would greet me at the Northern Lakes Center. Always a smile and a teasing comment, both of which I always returned. He was a joy to know.
My best to the family. I share your sense of loss.

My favorite story about Greg is when he went camping with his friend Greg Burkett, and Greg Burkett’s stepfather, Greg Nolan. When they met another camper the story was always the same: “Hi, I’m Greg” and then, “And I’m his friend Greg.” and I’m his other friend, Greg!” It was like a version of the Bob Newhart Show.
