H. MARSHALL, Jr.
H. Marshall Bridgewater, Jr., age 75, died at his home in Pittsburgh, on Saturday, March 5, 2005. He was born in Bridgeport, Connecticut on July 2, 1929. He is the son of the late Horace M. Bridgewater and Lillian Hackett Bridgewater. Mr. Bridgewater was a public relations officer for the South Western PA Planning Commission and continued there in a consulting capacity up to the time of his death. A graduate of Fairfield University, he attended the New School for Social Research in New York City as well as the graduate school at Harvard University. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. H. Marshall Bridgewater "Marshall" is survived by dear friends, Thomas Walsh and Eileen Walsh of Pittsburgh and by his faithful cat "Annie." The good cat "Goldie", devoted companion of seventeen years, predeceased him in April 2000. There is no visitation. Interment private. It is suggested memorial contributions be made to either In Care of Cats, PO Box 373, Elizabeth, PA 16037 or to Animal Care & Welfare, S.P.C.A., Box 8257, Pgh., PA 15218. Arrangements by the THOMAS L. NIED FUNERAL HOME, INC. 7441 Washington St., Swissvale.

We have lost a guy who possessed style, good humor, intelligence and diplomacy. During the twenty-five years that we worked together, I have no recollection of Marshall ever having spoken unfavorably about anyone. What a guy! He will be missed and remembered as a rare friend.
