Jack Kelly

FAYETTE - Jack Kelly, age 71, of Fayette, formerly of Cottondale, passed away on August 1, 2016, at home. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, August 4, 2016, at Tuscaloosa Memorial Chapel with Ben Franklin officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Gardens with Tuscaloosa Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing. The body will lie in state for one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
He was preceded in death by his family, Dorothy King, Tony Hubbard and Jay Guin.
Survivors include his family, Rufus King (Debbie), Doyle Martin, Jo Guin, Dennis King (Kaye), Rodney King (Amanda), Tonya Perry (Heath), Jeremy Guin (Mandy), Cole King, Kendall King, Truston Hubbard, Dakota King, Trayton Hubbard, Jacee King, Sawyer Guin and many family and friends, too many to list.
Jack came to live with Rufus King and his family in 1969 where he resided for over 44 years. During those years, he helped on the farm and enjoyed many family functions including annual church conventions, cook-outs, and vacations.
He loved to fish, hunt, and ride four wheelers, listening to country music and watching Alabama football. Those were some of his favorite pastime activities.
Jack returned home to live with Rufus and Debbie so that they could care for him during his illness. His bright smile and big personality will be missed.
Pallbearers will be Rodney King, Dennis King, Jeremy Guin, Doyle Martin, Cole King and Trayton Hubbard.
Honorary pallbearers are friends and staff of Ivy Glen in Hamilton, Kiki Reese and friends and staff of Windows Unlimited of Winfield and Denise Marion (affiliates of Northwest Alabama Mental Health Center), and staff of Asera Care Hospice.
