James Burrows Obituary
Port Huron
James LeRoy Burrows, 90, died Friday, May 30, 2014.
He was born September 8, 1923 in Vassar to the late Benjamin and Mary Burrows, but was raised by the Dodge family in Ruth, Michigan. He married Donna Jean Finley on July 8, 2000 in Port Huron.
Mr. Burrows was involved in the farming and oil & gas industries for many years. He will be remembered for his kind heart, being very handy and his passion for animals. He also enjoyed bowling and watching the Detroit Tigers and Red Wings.
He is survived by his wife, Donna; three children, Linda (Paul) Kano, Phyllis (John) Hermann and Rev. David (Sharon) Burrows; four step-children, Joyce (Dr. Michael) Emrick, Robert (Grace) Sult, Jerry Blais and Elizabeth (Joel) Mathews; nine grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; mother-in-law, Marion Weston; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Jerry (Carol) Blais, Rick (Sandy) Blais and Ron (Linda) Blais; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Edith Lois Burrows.
Visiting will be from 6-8 pm Tuesday in the Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be 11 am Wednesday, June 4, 2014 in the funeral home with visiting from 10 am until the time of service.
Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Memorials may be directed to the Humane Society of St. Clair County/SNAP.
