He delivered my daughter at Mather Air Force Base, in Rancho Cordova, CA. I was just 18 and he saved my premature daughter Michelle. After many years I had a 24 yr job at the Monterey county courthouse, and needed an OBGYN. Dr Pretzer again became my Dr. At 18 he was the best looking man I'd ever seen. He remembered me when he delivered my daughter all those years later. My daughter Michelle lived in Monterey and she went on to see him as her Dr. I had an appointment at his office in Monterey one day, and I was not aware but his office was set up for Candid Camera, and everything looked suspicious in his office but I didn't take the prank and had to sit somewhere else. May he rest in peace.

He was a Great Caring Man , Will always be thought of Kindly ...

So sorry to hear the loss of my FAVORITE doctor, James Pretzer. When I lived in Monterey he delivered all four of my sons. He was a wonderful man with not only a beautiful bedside manner, but also, his smile and booming laughter. My condolences to his entire family.

Dr. Pretzer was a great doctor and delivered my daughter. Ironically, it was the same morning his partner´s wife was also delivering, so he went back and forth between our rooms checking on us. He took care of me with my second pregnancy until we moved back to Michigan. I referred many friends to him and felt confident in his abilities. I wish his family well.

So sorry to hear about Dr Pretzer. He was a wonderful man as well as doctor. He delivered all three of my sons. Much sympathy love and prayers.

My condolences to the family. We were blessed that Dr.Pretzer delivered our baby daughter. Thank you for your caring, dedication and many years of service!

He was kindly tolerant of us after we moved in next door, being quite a bit noisier than my Mom. He would often call for us to "keep an eye on the place" while he went on one of his many trips, fishing and otherwise.

We will truly miss his warm smile and occasional "driveway meets" to catch up.

I worked with Jim for several years. He also delivered our son, Kip. He was an exceptional man and he holds a special place in our hearts. We were very lucky to have known him.

Jim Pretzer was one of my favorite people of all time. I looked forward to our conversations every duck season. I will forever miss looking across the compound and seeing him relaxing on his front deck enjoying a cigar with a successful strap of ducks hanging on the post next to him. Jim was a sweetheart of a man. I will miss him dearly.
