Jennifer Jay Palmer Enfield, 51, Atco, NJ died October 23. Born in Alhambra, CA, Palmer grew up in Medford Lakes, NJ. A 1982 Shawnee High School graduate, she earned a B.A. in Communication and Media Studies from Goucher College in 1987. An award-winning director and producer of film and television as the Owner of RedMaiden, Palmer was also in demand as a freelance director in Philadelphia and NYC. Palmer was a founding member of Philadelphia Women in Film and Television, a board member of the Philadelphia Independent Film and Video Association, a founder of Women Creative Directors and DPs, and active in several other professional associations. Pro bono projects included videos for League of Women Voters of Philadelphia, YMCA Camp No Worries, Alzheimers Association of the Delaware Valley, and PAWS.
Palmer is survived by her husband, Mike Ligthart, Atco, NJ, parents, Ron and Diane Enfield, Cherry Hill, NJ, sister, Lauren Enfield Boyce, brother-in-law, Kevin Boyce, and nephew, Keegan Boyce, Mt. Laurel, NJ, brother Greg Palmer, Sacramento, CA, mother-in-law Willy Ligthart, Medford Lakes, NJ, and brother-in-law, Ron Ligthart, Winter Springs, FL.
Visitation will be at 12:00, memorial service at 1:30 on Saturday, November 14 at The Camden County Boathouse at Cooper River, 7050 N. Park Drive, Pennsauken, NJ. Memorial donations can be made to Equality Now at www.equalitynow.org

Palmer was the most inspiring woman. She rose above and made life work for her no matter what it dealt her. She consistently created new opportunities for all and was a legend in the industry. I was honored to have her teach her various workshops at my office to help others on their career path. The actors loved her as did I. You remain a beacon for many of us, a reference on how to live life well and give it all. You'll always be a present force.
