Upon rereading the obituary I noticed something I hadn´t caught before: the family has suggested that donations be sent to Make a Wish Foundation. Not the Cancer Society, Tunnel to Towers or the Itlo-American Lodge but to Make A Wish - truly an American idea because Joe was a shining example of the American dream. Not just an example - Joe WAS the American dream!

My condolences to the Marchini Family. I had the honor and privilege of working with Joe in the 90´s when Radicchio was taking off and saw the passion and work ethic he put into everything he touched. Joe was a hardworking man of integrity and an inspiration to me. He really had a way with people and was a man of his word.

I will always remember his good mood and willing to know things .I met him and his family probably about 20 years ago and was delighted when they came to visit Peru with Dr Dan and had the chance to meet my wife
In my last trip to Merced that I believe was 2018 my kid had the chance to meet him on a Sunday morning when he stopped by at Dr Dan s House bringing almonds. My condolences to his family
