Joel Todd Brunner

Joel Todd Brunner, a long-time resident of The Woodlands, Texas left this world far too soon when he passed away at the age of seventy-two on March 4, 2023.

Joel was born June 13, 1950, to Alvin A. Brunner, II and Ella May Hayes Brunner in Galveston, Texas. Joel was predeceased by his mother, father, stepmother Norma Jean Brunner, brother Ron and brother-in-law Eddy Smith, but he leaves behind many to cherish his memory including his wife, Karen, stepson Justin Key, brothers, Alvin A. Brunner, III (Suzi), and Carl D. Brunner (Ginny), sister Bambi Pinson (Andy), sister-in-law Linda Smith as well as his nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, and friends.

Joel graduated from the University of Houston with a degree in Psychology and worked as an automotive claims adjustor for Farmers Insurance, Safeco Insurance and Allstate Insurance before retiring a few very short years ago.

Joel was laid to rest at Hayes Grace Memorial Park Cemetery in Hitchcock, Texas on April 1, 2023 but rather than mourn his passing, Joel's family and friends will instead celebrate his birthday and life on Saturday, June 3, 2023 at a gathering hosted by his wife, Karen with the help of Joel's niece, Heather Maybee-Robinson and her husband Mike Robinson at Barge 295 in Seabrook, Texas.
