I am sorry to hear of the passing of Capt Labouisse. He was my engineering officer on the Allen M Sumner. Glad he made it to one of our reunions.

I had the distinct honor to serve with CAPT Labouisse in the Naval Reserve in the '80s. He was a great CO, a gentleman and one of the best officers I ever served with. My condolences to his family. Fair winds and following seas, Captain.

Somehow a quotation from one of Pete's favorite films seems very appropriate, "I commend to your keeping the soul of Capt. John Peter Labouisse, III a gallant officer and a Christian gentleman".
That surely describes my old friend but it barely scratches the surface of this good and honorable man.
To the whole clan I convey our sincere condolences. I have arranged for the Jesuit Community in London to offer their masses in his memory and we will join in their prayers.
