John D. Shaffner

John "Jack" D. Shaffner, 93, of Northampton, PA passed away peacefully on Thursday February 4, 2021 at Sarasota Memorial Hospital in Sarasota, Florida. He was born in Easton, PA, the son of the late Fred and Madelyn (Magnuson) Shaffner. He was the husband of the late Mary E. (Hydro) Shaffner and is now forever reunited with her, his recently deceased daughter Susan and beloved dog Saffron.

Jack was employed for 25 years at Ingersoll-Rand in Phillipsburg, NJ and later became a salesman in industrial supplies for William H. Taylor. Jack was always very active and had many interests including stained glass work and woodworking. In his earlier years, he was an avid golfer and skier. He always enjoyed the many concerts at Musikfest, and became a "snowbird" spending time in Florida during the winter months.

He was a faithful husband and father and will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by his devoted partner, JoAnne Donnelly of Blackwood, NJ, sons, Dennis J. Shaffner of Louisville, KY, Brian D. Shaffner of Pen Argyl, PA and Micheal Shaffner of Catasauqua, PA, daughter, Cynthia M. Shaffner of Allentown, PA, grandchildren, Taylor, Alex, John, Cooper and Maddie and her dog Louis, great grandchildren, London and Jax.

Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
