John Skarada Obituary
JOHN
A resident of Willow Lane Assisted Living, formerly of McKees Rocks, passed away Saturday, November 22, 2003. John was born July 4, 1910 in McKees Rocks, PA. Preceded in death by his wife, Anna Staroschuck. He is survived by five sons, Thomas and his wife Priscilla of Warren, PA, Philip and his wife Joan of Tyrone, PA, Ronald Skarada of McKees Rocks, Donald and his wife Fran of McKees Rocks, and Dennis Skarada of Warren, PA; also survived by nine grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and by his sister, Mary Medwid of McKees Rocks. He was a graduate of Duquesne University and Pittsburgh University. He was employed by U.S. Steel for 42 years, and was a member of St. Mary's Ukrainian Orthodox Church. Friends welcome Tuesday 2-4 & 7-9 pm at VALERIAN F. SZAL FUNERAL HOME, INC., 238 Helen St., McKees Rocks. Parastas Tuesday 8:30 pm. Funeral Wednesday 9:45 am followed by Services in St. Mary's Ukrainian Orthodox Church at 10 am. In lieu of flowers contributions in John Scarada's memory may be made to Childrens Hospital of Pittsburgh, Attn: Foundation Dept. #1 Childrens Place, 3705 5th Ave., Pgh., PA 15213.
