D ear Sledge Family, it's my prayer that God will wrap his loving arms around you during this time. Greg, Laurie and I always enjoyed our visits. We bought our first car from John back in 1960, and enjoyed a long friendship for many years.

Jane, John Dee, & Julie - I just want you to know you all are in my thoughts and prayers. They just don't make them anymore like your dad or mine. I am so blessed we had them in our lives and just knowing what a wonderful good man he was may you find peace. The days ahead are so hard. If I can do anything to help let me know. Your dad was one of the funniest people and had the biggest heart and will be missed by all. Hugs to all - Letha Carmichall

John really was a "Big" man in so many ways. He was kind hearted, yet stood up for his values so well. He was always quick to help someone if they needed that help, and the stories he could tell, and loved to tell, to all that would listen. He was a man to be honored, and respected, and he was by so many. My heart goes out to Jane, Julie, John D. and all of his family. Big John will be missed by so many. May the Good Lord Help you through this loss knowing that John was loved by so many who called him a true friend. God Bless You.

John was a great man and a part of my childhood. I remember vividly running around the Ford House and riding in a golf cart with my dad as he and John played. I bought my first new truck from John, and because of him i am a lifetime "Ford Man". My thoughts are with Jane,John Dee, and Julie and their families.

To John, Julie and Sledge Family. John will be missed very much. Myself and my father played golf with John and did business with John. John was a very good person to us and everyone he knew. May God Bless you during this time and give you the comfort that passes all understanding.
