John R. Vynanek

VYNANEK John R. Vynanek, age 66, passed away January 12, 2018. John was a Chicago native, United States Navy veteran, and a graduate of the University of Texas, Arlington BSN program. He was a registered nurse in medical facilities in the Jacksonville area. John was a quiet, gentle man, who loved his family and animals, and volunteered as a dog walker in retirement. John is preceded in death by his parents John and Fran, and his siblings Bill and Linda. He is survived by his wife of 40 years Kathy; two sons Chris (Patti) and Jamie (Brandi); his grandchildren Hunter, Caroline, Levi, and Hayden. A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 19, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, 6317 103rd Street. A committal service will be held at a later date with military honors at the Jacksonville National Cemetery. The family requests in lieu of flowers, please designate donations to the Jacksonville Humane Society, take time to volunteer at an animal shelter, or adopt an animal at a shelter in memory of John.
