CLYDE - John "Jon Jon" Avery Zontini, 49, of Clyde, passed through the gates of Heaven to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 23, 2016 at Heritage Village in Clyde, surrounded by the love of his family and friends after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born in The Bellevue Hospital to the late Martin and Karen (Frye) Zontini on January 19, 1967. He was a 1985 graduate of Clyde High School and went on to proudly serve his country in the United States Army. He loved the Lord and was a member of Providence Baptist Church. He loved his job and work family at Victory Honda in Sandusky, OH where he worked for the last several years of his life. During his time here on earth, John made countless friends all over the world particularly in Germany, Italy, and here in the US in Florida, Illinois and Ohio. John was known to always have a smile on his face and he never met a stranger. John also adored his kitties: Myah, Meekah, and MJ who will be lovingly adopted by family members. In addition to his mother, John is survived by a brother, Martin (Pam) Zontini Jr. of Clyde; two sisters, Cari Unsworth of Clyde and Joanna (Robert) Rathbone of Cabot, Vermont; nieces and nephews, Kayla, Zachary, and Alyssa Zontini, Avery Unsworth, Jessica (Jonathan) Sutter Kuns, Savannah, Andrew and Skylar. He also adored his great niece and nephew: Rylee Zontini and Martin Kuns; and also survived by his special friends Jim Daly of Indianapolis, Indiana. A celebration of John's life will be held on Saturday, April 30, at 11 a.m. at Providence Baptist Church, 1000 W. Gardner Road in Bellevue, a meal will follow the service in the fellowship hall. Foos Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Clyde is in care of arrangements. Memorials can be made to Stein Hospice, 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, who were amazing during John's final days.
