Josephine White Obituary
Elmira - Passed away peacefully, among family, on May 5, 2019 in Columbia SC. JoJo was born in Elmira on October 12, 1931, a daughter of the late Adeline and Daniel Boscaino, who were Italian immigrants. She was predeceased by her sisters, Rose, Angeline, Mary and her brothers, Anthony "Pip", and Cosmos "Gus". She is survived by her husband of 48 years, John; her daughters, Kathleen Giacolone and Diane Kerwan( Joseph); sons, Richard Pautz (Margaret) and Michael Pautz (Joyce); grandchildren, Ryan (Kara), Caitlin (Nick), Abby, Matthew, Kathryn, Joseph and Willis; great grandson Jackson; and a great granddaughter arriving in August; several nieces and nephews. JoJo grew up on Stowell St. in "The Patch" and was a graduate of Elmira Free Academy. She was a 50 year employee at the South Main St. Gerould's Pharmacy retiring (reluctantly) this past December. JoJo was an avid Buffalo Bills fan and an avid baker. Family and friends are invited to a prayer service at McInerny Funeral Home, 502 W. Water St., Elmira on Friday, May, 10, 2019 at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Patrick's Church at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Alder Run Cemetery in Jackson Township PA. The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to Heartstrings Hospice of Columbia SC and Nita Fleming who assisted JoJo's family in her care. Those wishing may remember JoJo with a donation to Heartstrings Hospice-Lexington, 1087 Harbor Drive, Suite B, West Columbia SC 29169.

Mrs Josephine Was a very Sweet lady Always pleasant and had nice thing to talk about. I Remember her from Gerold's Pharmacy . May she Rest In Heavenly Peace. Prayers to her Family God Bless!

SO SORRY TO HEAR OF JOJO PASSING. I WILL MISS HER DEARLEY. WE WORKED TOGETHER OVER 20 YEARS AT GEROULDS. I WILL MISS OUR LUNCHES ON SATURDAY. LOVE ELAINE SMITH

I'm so sorry for your loss. Josephine was a great friend and co worker. I worked with Jo at Geroulds's for 15 years. She was an awesome lady. Always so happy. I loved working with her. Heaven has another angel now.

Josephine was the female face of Geroulds South Main. We were fortunate to have her bake us our birthday cakes, Christmas cookies and banana bread. Yes we missed her when she was no longer working at the store. We really haven't found anyone to do all that she did. Josephine please say hi to Phil, Jerry and Margaret. I love you mom. I'm sure going to miss calling you every single night and chatting about our Hallmark movies and life in general. I'm really going to miss listening to you play Monday Morning Quarterback about those Buffalo Bills who you loved so much. Thanks for everything that you did for us. You worked hard, you had such a great work ethic and that's why all of us are successful today. Thank you.
We love how much you loved working for Geroulds. And we thank the Steed family for being so good to you and keeping you employed for 50 years. I'm sure when you left they had to hire at least two people to take your place! I know you are in heaven because you were a sweet woman with a heart of gold who loved her family dearly.
