In 2001, when we were housemates in Chestnut Hill, Josiah thoughtfully gave me my first Christmas tree as an adult. It´s a cherished memory I hold close, especially as my family puts up our tree this holiday season and I am telling them about Josiah. He had a truly wonderful soul, and my thoughts are with his loving family this season as we remember him from London, one of his favourite cities. -Kathleen

Josiah - what a lovely and sweet fellow - who always cheered me with his smile when we ran into one another at Barker or elsewhere. I was especially glad for someone to reminisce with about my old friend and mentor Archie, a frequent happy sight at lunch at the Faculty club's Long Table. Josiah carried his father's spirit in his warm presence.

I am so very sorry. I can not imagine the hole that has been left in your lives.
I knew Josiah from Harvard as a classmate (HUGSE), as a colleague, and as a friend. His smile, humor, and kindness- all of which were readily shared- will be sorely missed.

To dear Val and to Alexis and Amelia and Caleb and family.
We remember Josiah with the greatest affection, as a baby, as a boy and as a young adult. I first met Josiah when his proud mother steered him, just a few months old, in a pushchair along Belsize Avenue in London. She was beaming with joy and Josiah was laughing, eager to be unstrapped, ready for the next new life experience. We think too of Archie, such a proud father who so loved his boys, and whose rich, warm voice and laughter echoes on. This is the hardest of times, but we send our fondest love to you all. Phoebe, Thomas and Anna.
