Wendell was one of the most interesting people I know. I wish I had known more about his past so I could have quizzed him mercilessly about subjects on which he was an expert. A truly good man and an even greater human, he left his mark.

I have known Wendell for over 20 years and know he will be sadly missed by all who knew him . He was definitely a "people person", known "far and wide", and all who met him considered him a friend. I don't think he ever met a stranger and opened his home to all that would come. He had a lively personality, a quick wit, and a fantastic sense of humor and was loved by all that met him.
