Marsha, Bill and Jim, My heart goes out to you on the loss of your sweet Mother. I remember family times together when we were all young in Corsicana. Mother passed away in 2004. She always had fond memories of the times your Mom and Ellen Ellett would drive to Athens for lunch with her and "old" friends from FBC Corsicana to celebrate birthdays. God bless you and your familes.

Kathryn was one of the most precious ladies I've known. After the loss of her husband she refused to feel sorry for herself and had as her mission to especially help other widows. I'm sorry to have missed the service, I was still out of town. My love and prayers to her family.

Sweet and funny Kathryn brought so much joy to my family as she ministered to our mother after our father's death. Your father had also recently passed away and our mothers were able to renew their Baylor friendship and walk through those difficult days together. Kathryn was indeed an angel! My mother is grieving the loss of her sweet friend and so sorry she wasn't able to be there with you.

Dear Shamburger Family,
My thoughts are with you during this time. Your mother was a wonderful example of a Christian mother, wife and citizen. I will forever miss her smile and positive attitude. She and your father always made me feel special and important. They have truly enlarged the Kingdom of God with their faithfulness.

Cheryl, my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. It was a good thing, growing up at FBC with Dr. & Mrs. Shamburger, who always made even those of us with the least feel accepted and cared about. I will always miss them.

Marsha,
Just to let you know I'm thinking of you. Your Mother and Father were very special people to me as a child and to the people of First Baptist Church of Corsicana. Losing one's Mother is always hard, regardless of the circumstances. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

To the family,
Mrs. Shamburger was the very essence of the woman in Proverbs 31. Dr. and Katherine Shamburger has helped many a young minister get thier start in the ministry. As one of those pastors, I am in gratitude for the time they spent with me. In the 80's I had the privilege of going with them to Canada for a mission trip, where they taught me a lot about doing God's work through missions. To much regret, Barbara and I will not be able to attend the services for Mrs. Shamburger as we are serving on the mission field this week with our church in Zapata, Tx. You will be in our prayer and in our thoughts this week. For now we can take comfort in the thought that she is in the presence of the Lord and Dr. Shamburger.

To the Shamburger Family, As a member of the FBC selection committee that called Bill and Kathryn to Tyler we have lost two outstanding Christians and citizens. They were everything we hoped for at the church and in Tyler. They were both good friends and I will miss them. My deepest sympathy to all of you.

To all of you--we are so sorry about the loss of your mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and great grandmother. I will always remember Mrs. Shamburger as one who was always interested in what you had to say...she was a very good listener! She was also very talented and smart lady! And, she loved her family but especially her grandchildren. She has given all of you lots of memories and fun stories that will bless your lives. God bless all of you.
