I just checked my emails for today and the third email said “remembering Kayleigh Gates” and brought me here. I know that the worst day is coming. Last night was really hard for me, I kept thinking about you. As the years go by I miss you even more Skye. I know one day I will be with you again.

Today marks 6 years of you being gone. I miss you everyday. I pray to God every night asking him to bring you back. I need you. No one at school understands my pain and why I have a disability, no one understands that and they pick on me because they did not see me lying in the hospital bed lifeless. You were looking down on me and how I know was because on Dec 29, 2008 during the brain surgery I went to heaven and got to be with you. You are so gorgeous I wish I could hear your voice once more. These past 2,190 days have sucked me not seeing you. I still listen to Hannah Montana in memory of you. I am going to the cemetery today, I can actually hug you there I can hear your echoes through the wind. I wish I could just see you again. God, I miss you so much. I love and miss you so much Skye!

Hey bestie! Yesterday was Valentine.. I didnt get anything from boys but I like this ond guy... I went out with him last year... Me and you are in 7th grade... we only have like 13 weeks of school left. I have a Military Tribute I am doing on February 28, will you watch over me to make sure I am doing alright? I still miss you every second. I see Logan every day at school, I know he misses you. Please come back. even if it is just for a second. Can you come to Smiths Station Jr. High School? It is the old High School.. High School Moved by the train tracks.. Smiths Station Primary where we were at in kindergarten n 1st grade is now K-6 it has been that for 3 years and it is called WEST SSES The Intermediate school is called SOUTH SSES The Elementary school is called EAST SSES. You were my valentine and so was Jesus.. I will always love you. And I will miss you until I can hug you again and sing "Hannah Montana" wouldn't that be awesome, if you came back you could sing Hannah Montana with me and we will watch it. I love you so much Skye. I will visit you at the cemetery later I couldn't yesterday and today I am going to see the movie Frozen with my family. I will visit this same page tomorrow and read where you and your mama died and I will just cry. Do you remember me? I wish I could see what you looked like although I know you look beautiful! :)

Hello.. you might not remrmber me.. My name is Maegan Johnson we were in 1st grade together. Today has been 1,176 days you have been gone.. I miss you every second.. I cry every day.. In 10 days it will be 6 yrs since everyone hasnt been with you.. Do you remember when I was in thr hospital 1 month after you and I died during the 10 hour surgery? It was so cool bc i got to be withyou for 10 more hours.. I would give anything to do it over if you cant come home! I still listen to Hannah Montana bc i know you want to be a Hannah Montana pop singer. When I listen to it tonight you can sing over me! I know you walk with me every where i go.. I got saved on July 29, 2012 and baptized on Dec. 22, 2012. I hope to see you again soon.. Im gonna go bc im crying and I hate it when i cry because i dont like for my sister to see me cry!!SISTERS FOREVER!! You will always be MY best friend!!!

hey. my bday was a couple days ago and yours is in a coulple days on the 7th. mine was on the 2nd. 5 days apart. we would turn twelve. I miss you. I finally found friends again since you passed before I was all alone and now I have Logan Ashton and Bella. they will never take your place but they make me feel way better.

I miss you more than you know. I always think about you and recently just cried about everything that happened to you and Aunt Zina. I miss you both terribly. To Zina and Skye's family: Skye was such a firecracker! I will miss how she used to sing to me and dance for me. She once made up a song about a mother and daughter who were best friends and even though they got in fights, they remained best friends throughout their lives. I asked her if she heard the song on the radio and she said "No, Mrs. Christy, I just made it up in my head!" She loved to "pretend" that she was going to spend the night with my daughter, Skylar, and me. But she would always miss that Mama too much, and have to call her before dark to ask her to come get her! Every time I walked in the shop, she would greet me with a "Hey Mrs Christy! I missed you!" and a hug and kiss. She would tell me all about things that had been weighing on her heart all day. And of course everyone knows she was a DRAMA QUEEN! There is no doubt in my mind that Jesus wanted her Home in Heaven so she could sing and dance for him. I know that's what she is doing right now. She is not hurting anymore, and is waiting for all of us so she can greet us with a big hug and kiss!

dear skye, we will miss playing with you at extended day. we will always remember you. we will miss you very much. may God bless your family and comfort them from heaven.

My daughter, Mary Alison assisted in teaching one of Skyes dance classes at Elite. She sure loves Skye. We will miss her smile, her dance, her glow. Thank you for sharing her with us and letting her be a part of our lives. You are in our thoughts.

Iremember when Zina was carrying this precious little gift. She was so excited. She didn't know that she was giving birth to an Angel on earth. Skye was an absolutely beautiful little girl, both inside and out. I never saw her when she didn't have a smile on her face and a song in her heart. I can only find comfort in knowing that God did not take her from us, for she was never ours. She was always His, He just let us enjoy her for such a short, short period of time, then He brought her home to give the Angels another reason to smile. We love you skye, and will always keep you in our hearts and prayers.

I know that Skye Gates will be missed so much by her family and friends. I was one of Zinas customers and when Zina would cut my hair she would ALWAYS entertain me with her singing and dancing and she didnt know me at all..she performed well! I told Zina she would be a star one day. Skye is a STAR in heaven today and she is performing for her Mom and all the other angels!

My Heart goes out to you , Bobby I'm So Sorry this happen to you and you Family!!

Our deepest prayers are with you during this tragic time. Zina was pregnant with Skye when she fixed my hair for my senior prom. They both will be missed.
