I am just learning of Ken's passing. We spent many years together while in Atlanta as very close friends. One of the most kind, generous and thoughtful souls I have ever met. This news hurts my heart but I know he is at peace and rejoicing with his dad, whom he missed very much!! I love you, Ken.

My deepest sympathy and prayers go out to Ken's family. I worked with Ken for several 5 years at Macy's. Ken was a tremendous asset to my team and Macys. Besides his strong technical skills, Ken was very thoughtful, helpful, and keen sense of humor. His memories will live on. May God continue to bless you all at this very difficult time.

Prayers and condolences to Ken’s family, friends and loved ones. I had the pleasure of working with Ken at Macys for years as well. He touched so many lives there. For a short time, I was able to sit across from him and we had some great conversations. We liked talking about tennis and would be talking about the Australian Open now. He was a great guy and always was so helpful and brought a smile to my face. He is and always will be missed by many.

Like others, I worked with Ken for over 20 years while at Macy's. Ken was patient, thoughtful, wise and had a clear vision of what the right way of doing work.
He consistently led by example and guided me when I made errors in a graceful manner to be both more accurate and efficient.
Ken took ownership for making sure the systems were designed to run efficiently and provided tuning to ensure system capacity.
For much of the time I worked with Ken, He shared life at home with a cat. The companionship they shared was clear. As others have said Ken was skilled, compassionate, faithful, kind and generous. He freely shared his opinion on what were poor decisions to improve the product that was being designed.
My prayers go out to his family and loved ones for their loss.

When I began work at Macy’s in 1995, Ken was one of my very first friends. He had a unique combination of kindness, intelligence and humor. He was a brilliant man who always made time to help in any situation. I considered it my privilege to be his friend, and I will miss him greatly. Prayers of peace for his unique and gentle soul.

Ken was the generous, kindhearted, and knowledgeable person who taught me a lot at Macy’s. He was thoughtful and he could analyze the issue in the crisis situation. Also, he had such a sweetheart like a kid. When I had to bring my shy toddler daughter to office, Ken spent time with her at his desk, talking and playing together. Another time, Ken shared his cheese dip with her at office group dinner. She is older now, but she always asks me his wellbeing when we have Cheese Dip. He was the amazing coworker and friend who will be missed.

I was heartbroken to hear about Ken this morning. We worked in the same area and team at Macy's for 20+ years. Ken was truly one of the smartest people I have ever known. His lines of code were magic. If there was ever a way to do something, Ken could figure it out when other couldn't. Whenever the business had a big system need, Ken was one of the people I would always go see and get his feedback and insights. He used to drink Moutain Dew by the case and then he switched to water. He once told me he knew when I was coming down the hall by the way I walked. LOL Ken will be missed! You're a kind soul. Sending love out to all who knew how special Ken is. RIP

I both went to high school with Ken and worked with him at Macy's. He was always a source of knowledge and if he didn't know the answer, he would find it for you. I know that Macy's Technology will miss him and Macy's Supply Chain will as well. He was a great business partner. My deepest sympathy goes out to the family. You are in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

I had the privilege of teaching Ken in Junior and Senior High School at SMCS. Attended church with him as well at Stone Mtn Baptist Tabernacle. He also played on my JV Baseball Team. And I worked with him during the summers in maintaining the school grounds at SMCS. I feel like I got to know Ken well. We loved to kid one another as well as our summertime boss, Don Barnard. There are lots of good memories of those days long ago. Ken was one of my favorite students too! Guy had a great mind. Kind heart. Very level-headed young man. And he was a very deep thinker. Ken had the ability to excel at pretty much anything he touched. I am certain he made his mark in his work (in technology) as he had a great work ethic I was very disappointed that I never had the opportunity to connect with him as an adult. It saddens me to hear of his passing. I know his family and friends will miss him. Ken was good guy with a big heart, soft spoken manner, and easy smile. Heaven is a better place with Ken on the grounds! Rest in Peace Ken. You will not be forgotten!

My condolences to Ken's Family and Loved Ones. He was a positive influence in any situation at Macy*s Technology. He was the best of the best technically and was also willing to share his immense knowledge and skills with anyone even if not part of his assigned responsibilities. His leadership, work ethic, wit and personality will be missed both professionally and personally.

Ken was a mentor to me at Macy's. His dedication to doing a job right combined with his irreverent wit and sarcasm helped me cope with corporate bureaucracy while still accomplishing my work without going crazy. He was always a voice for excellence in the face of mediocrity and compromise. Rest well, Ken, and thanks.
