Kenneth D. Lewis, 80, of Columbia, Missouri passed away at Boone Hospital on Wednesday, January 6, 2016.
Visitation will be held at Memorial Funeral Home on Saturday, January 9, 2016 from 1 - 2 pm. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 9, 2016 at 2:00pm at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Grandview Baptist Church Cemetery, Centralia, MO.
Ken was born in St. Clair, MO on June 24, 1935 to Dewey Dale Lewis and Anna Hirsch who preceded him in death. On January 21st, 1961, he married Faye D. Lewis who preceded him in death on April 19, 2013. He retired in 1998 from the University of Missouri. His hobbies were watching and studying the weather and speaking fluently in Spanish.
He is survived by one son, Gary Lewis of Columbia, MO; one daughter, Rebecca Ann (James) Elliott of Columbia, MO; three grandsons, Dawson Lewis, Bradley Elliott and Matthew Elliott and one sister, Rosalie Hammers. He was also preceded in death by one brother, Donnel Lewis.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Donor’s Choice.
