We are all saddened by the news of our dear Aunty Laura’s demise. It is a great loss to all of us too, and we know no words enough to console you. Please convey our deep condolences also to Uncle Robbie, Ko Soe Lin, Shan, Hahn, Mg Sein Win and San San Win and their families. Aunty Tin and all of us has donated a soon-pade-thabin for her on the 30th August, Yetle day.

Dear Cousin Wendy,



When I first learned about Aunty Laura's passing from Shan, I felt a deep personal loss and my thoughts immediately flashed back to the bygone days when we were little kids and how our moms used to visit and enjoy each other's company. It was the second loss since mom left us last November.



Aunty Laura was the epitome of grace, poise and calm that we all admired. No amount of tribute would be complete without mentioning the special fondness mom had for her. Aunty Laura was mom's favorite sister-in-law and mom considered her the most sincere and trusted friend she had. After leaving their homeland for their adopted countries the two sister-in-laws regularly exchanged letters, cards, and phone calls to express their mutual admiration and deep friendship. I think it would be fair to say that their's was a paradigm of model sister-in-law relationship and a paragon of beauty, virtue and purity rarely seen in today's world.



I am sure both are now in a world free of suffering bacause of the boundless love and kindness they manifested and practised all their lives.

It was with the greatest grief and deepest sadness that I learnt about dear Ma Ma Gyi's passing away. All I can do from here is to offer you my heartfelt sympathy and deepest condolences.
