Lawrence "Tub" Mills February 25, 1935 - November 5, 2012 It is with much sadness that we announce the sudden passing on November 5th, 2012, or our Dad, Lawrence (Tub) Mills. He leaves his children, Kath (Gord), Phil (Dina), Tim (Crystal) and was proud "Papa" to Jordan, Richard, Kevin (Jan), Lauren, Ryleigh, Jack, Jacob and Lucas. Tub also leaves his Saskatchewan family, John, Gwen and Di whom he visited annually on the family farm. Tub was born in Broadview, Sask in 1935. He joined the RCMP in August 1955 and served for more than 20 years. He then worked in Sears security for an additional 20 years. Tub loved hockey, baseball and football and was a Vancouver Giants season ticket holder. He had a passion for the "ponies" and spent many a day at the Racetrack or online watching the races. Tub took great pride in his home and yard which he dubbed "The Park". A day was not complete without a visit to Tim Hortons with the coffee gang. Tub will be missed by his children, his extended family and all the friends he made along the way. A memorial service in Tub's honour will be held at First Memorial Boal Chapel, 1505 Lillooet Road, North Vancouver, B.C., Friday, November 16, 2012, at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to B.C. Children's Hospital, in Tub's memory, would be greatly appreciated.

Growing up as a friend of Tim in High School I always felt Mr. Mills kept a keen eye on the comings and goings of life and in particular the children's events and accomplishments. Though I think Mr. Mills liked to show a tough exterior I know his caring, funny, challenging you to prove or improve yourself, character was just below the surface and would show it's self if you had a minute to spend with him.

May God's blessing and care be with you while you grieve his passing.

So sorry to hear of your dads passing. He was a friend through Sears. A friend with many stories full of laughter and smiles.He always had a twinkle in his eyes when he talked about his kids and his grand kids. He was no doubt very proud of all you.He will be missed by all.

You were a good friend and always willing to listen to me.
