Leslie James White, 67, of Evansville, IN passed away on July 14, 2013 at his home.
Leslie was born March 22, 1946 to Cordy White and Lila McNary in Princeton, Kentucky. He grew up in the Shepherds Street Baptist Church and graduated from Caldwell County High School in 1964. Leslie went on to study at Kentucky State University in Frankfort, Kentucky and later at the University of Evansville where he earned a degree in Political Science. His work life included Head Start, Mead Johnson, and Alcoa. He retired from the Evansville School Corporation after 20+ years of service. Leslie was a member of Memorial Baptist Church in Evansville, Indiana.
Leslie is preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Tammy White and Debbie White.
Leslie is survived by his sons, Leslie "Vashaun" White and Troy White; four grandchildren: Trey White, Adrea Davis, Justis White, and Kymani Green; one great-grandchild, Meilyn White; sisters: Dorthy Washington (Steve) of Baltimore, MD and Margret McNary, Vicki White, and Kathy White - all of Princeton, KY.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00am on Saturday, July 20, 2013, at New Hope Baptist Church. The viewing will be on Friday from 2:00pm-7:00pm at Mason Brothers Memorial Chapel. Entombment will be at Locust Hill Mausoleum.
