Lester (or Governor, as I often called him) was, at times, like a father-figure to me. Then, at other times, he was like a fun loving big brother. But, at all times, he was, and continues to be, my very best friend and kindred spirit.

We both were born and raised in Texas; we both suffered with diabetes; and we both married beautiful, loving wives who made us much smarter and better off than we ever could be by ourselves. Oh! And another thing Lester and I shared was our loved for Texas beef, especially hamburgers. Kind of a running joke in the family.

I will miss seeing the personification we have known as Lester, but I know that, one day, I will see the real Lester again, without his earthly body, and I will have a joke or two ready to make him laugh and smile once more.

Rest now, my friend . . . and Raye, know that our prayers and love are with you always and if there is anything Julie and I can do to help just let us know.

Always your friends too,
Julie and JP Morgan
