Great Falls —Linda Kay Benson, 64, of Great Falls, passed away unexpectedly on April 4, 2014. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, April 9 at 2:00 pm in the Rose Room Chapel at Croxford Funeral Home.

Linda was born April 14, 1949 in Duluth, MN to Leo and Evelyn Benton. She married Wayne Benson in 1970 and had three children that loved her with all their heart. In 1982 the family moved to Great Falls, MT, where she lived the rest of her life.

While her kids were in school, she worked as a School Aide and for the lunch program, but her true profession was Wife, Mom and Grandma. She loved the outdoors, especially fishing and camping with her family. She loved to play cards, games, and work on puzzles with her children and grandchildren. And every morning she did the "Jumble Words" in the newspaper with her husband. She loved to cook and make dinner for the whole family. Linda was a wonderful wife and loving mother, and she lived for her grand kids: Caden, Colby, Camber, Berkley, and Beckett. She touched the lives of everyone she met, and she will be deeply missed by all.

Survivors include husband, Wayne Benson of Great Falls; daughter, Wendy (Joe) Crowell of Ulm; sons, Wayne (Tera) Benson of Wellsville, Utah and Jim Benson of Great Falls; sisters, Marla Benton and Susan (John) Randolph, both of Duluth, MN; as well as her five grandchildren.

I was sad to hear of Linda's passing. I only met her once and did not know her personally but have heard many stories about what a fun and loving grandmother she was from her family in Logan, Utah. I can only imagine the void that is now felt. There is no question that she was very loved. My deepest sympathies at this time.
