Lori Ann Peterson Hurst

My heart aches hearing of Lori's passing. She was a best friend and confidant in high school and I loved whenever we were able to catch up. Her spirit and strength in times of adversity were/are always such an example to me. Praying the Hurst and Peterson families will feel her close and receive every needed blessing of peace and comfort at such a sad and difficult time. My heart is with you.

Jill, I read of your sisters passing just today and wanted to tell you how very sorry I am. May your memories help you through this difficult time.

Gary, Jan and I want to express our deepest sympathies. We pray that you will receive great comfort and support at this time. Thank you for your great friendship! We have a lot of great memories from your friendship and association.

We knew the Peterson Family in the "Logan 22nd ward" and watching Lori and her siblings grow up. Such a wonderful family. May you and your family find peace and comfort in this difficult time knowing that you are in the thoughts and prayers of many friends and family.

Lori was a dear friend and an amazing person! So much talent, intellect, such an eye for beauty and perspective. My thoughts and prayers are with the Peterson and Hurst families at this time.

Gary, we are so sorry for your loss. Please know our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. Also, memories of our younger days are in my mind often.

We knew Lori as a cute little girl growing up in Logan, and watched her grow into a beautiful young lady along the way. Val & Marceil are dear friends, and wonderful examples for their kids to emulate, and Lori did just that. Our love, prayers and condolences go out to her family.

Gary, Wendy and I were saddened by the news of Lori's passing which was shared with us by Stephen Simmons. We send our love, support, prayers and faith in the plan that binds you and Lori and all of us to loved ones in a life to come.

"Parable of Immortality"

I am standing upon the seashore.
A ship at my side spreads her white sails to the morning breeze
and starts for the blue ocean.
She is an object of beauty and strength,
and I stand and watch until at last she hangs
like a speck of white cloud
just where the sea and sky come down to mingle with each other.
Then someone at my side says,
" There she goes! "
Gone where?
Gone from my sight . . . that is all.
She is just as large in mast and hull and spar
as she was when she left my side
and just as able to bear her load of living freight
to the place of destination.
Her diminished size is in me, not in her.
And just at the moment
when someone at my side says,
" There she goes! "
there are other eyes watching her coming . . .
and other voices ready to take up the glad shout . . .
" Here she comes! "
