Bonnie, in my lifetime I have known many, many men; but, only two who when passing left a void that was almost impossible to fill and both were named Louis Benoit Abadie. Benny I will see you soon. Love daddy

I met my best friend Benny at the age of sixteen years old back in the fall of 1983. I had just move down here from Alaska to live with my uncle after my father’s death via helicopter crash during an Army training exercise. I stayed close to my uncle’s house because I did not know anyone. I saw Benny tinkering in his back yard across the way with a back yard full of creations and interesting things. I decided to walk over and meet him and we have been best friends ever since. We were always kindred of spirits with gifts of being able to see and do things using our imagination. He taught me confidence to apply these gifts and to share this with other people. Benny was a very good teacher with everyone. He knew how to teach at different levels with some he would back up and make people think and figure out things for themselves while others he would explain. He was a good judge with this. Benny would regularly call me just to hear about the new projects I had going on as well as to share with his. Benny also helped me through my time of great need during my divorce. He called regularly to see how I was doing and to listen and give good coaching with sound advice. He has always been an inspiration and true friend through good as well as bad times during my life. I figured out why he kept me busy designing and constructing things for him during his last couple of weeks before his passing. He did not want me to focus on his failing condition but to focus on his heart and my memories of him. He was a true friend all the way up to his last breath on this earth. Benny, I will always have fond memories of you every time I walk into my shop and turn on a piece of equipment to design and to build something. I miss you dearly and pray that you are at peace and happy.
Your Best Friend,
Mac

Benny was a part of our family. We had many good memories as children growing up together. Family get togethers were good times. I wished I could have known Benny in his later years. From all I have been hearing he was a fine young man. I pray for him and his greiving family. May he rest in peace.
Love,

I haven't been knowing you for that long but I known you long enough to say that you were so nice and wanted whats best for your family and friends.I always enjoyed going to the boat to spend time with you and
Mrs.Bonnie.I remember going down the canal by the boat to look for alligators.I remember you joking around with me,Chloe,Cambrie,Brooke,Logan, and Gabby about their being ghosts that would stack pennies in the corners.I always use to feel bad when I would tangle fishing poles up in a bunch of knots and you would have to untangle them. hahaha I miss you Benny!!!R.I.P.WE LOVE YOU AND MISS YOU!!!!!!

God has welcomed a generous soul into the gates of heaven. He was always there to help in any way he could. If he knew you were in need of something, he made an effort to find a solution to your needs. We will miss his presence and friendship in the neighborhood, his smile and his caring ways. We loss a good friend, but heaven is smiling to receive such a beautiful, creative soul. The gardens of heaven will be even more unique and beautiful with Benny’s touch.
Our prayers go with Bonnie, who took such good care of Benny, and his children Jessie, and Chelsea, who he loved dearly, as well as his step children who were there at his side. Good bye and farewell old friend. Thank you for your many years of Friendship. Brian and Jo Ann Bernard

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."
It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.
God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.
And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.
