AGE: 69 • Edison

Louis S. Colasurdo, 69, of Edison died on Friday, July 11, 2014 at JFK Medical Center in Edison.

Born in Jersey City, he resided in East Brunswick before moving to Edison. Lou was a US Army Veteran of Vietnam and a communicant of St. Matthew's RC Church in Edison. He was Director of IT for Telcordia for 38 years before retiring; he also had worked for Ray Catena Infiniti of Edison.

Lou loved his NY Giants, Clone Mtn., luxury sports cars and his 196th Army Buddies, but most of all he loved his family and his girls.

He was predeceased by his parents Joseph and Catherine; and his brother Joseph.

Surviving are his wife Betty; a son Robert Tietchen Jr. and his wife Tina; a daughter Robin Layman and her husband Mark; four granddaughters Amber, Sarah and Katie Tietchen, and Erica Layman; a sister-in-law Deborah Colasurdo; two brother-in-laws Steve Povalac and his wife Tina, William Povalac and his wife Barbara; nieces and nephews Christopher, Michael, John, William, Carolyn and Jill.

Visitation will be Sunday, July 13, 2014 from 2-4 & 7-9 at the Costello-Runyon Funeral Home 568 Middlesex Ave. (RT 27) Metuchen. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, July 14, 2014 at 9:30 AM at St. Matthew's RC Church. Interment will be at Hillside Cemetery in Metuchen. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Grace Reformed Church PO Box 1385 Edison, NJ 08817.

We went through four years of high school, two years in the Army and many years hanging out. Lots of memories, you will be missed.

Betty, Lou is going to be missed SO much! Charlie was his friend
For over 50 years and will be lost without him. He was a great guy to both of us and just know that there will not be a day that goes by that we won't be thinking about him. You will always be in our thoughts and prayers in these days coming, we are here for you.
