Louis Armin Farkas, Jr., age 72, of Anderson, SC, passed away Sunday, January 14, 2024, at North Pointe Assisted Living.

Born July 18, 1951, in Cleveland, OH, he was a son of the late Louis Armin Farkas, Sr., and Eleanor Pavlik Farkas Dey. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Gary Farkas.

Louis was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Clarksville, TN. He was a diehard Cleveland Indians and Nashville Predators fan. He enjoyed bird watching, ethnic cooking, opera and classical music and loved animals. He was also a history buff and talented bagpiper. He was a proud father and grandfather and loved showing off his grandchildren.

He is survived by his son, William Farkas and wife Nikki; and grandchildren, Anna, Emma, Sue, and Ander.

The funeral service will be held Tuesday, January 23, 2024, at 12:30 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home. Burial will follow at 2:00 pm at M.J. Dolly Cooper Veterans Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Crescent Hospice, 305 W. Beltline Blvd., Anderson, SC 29625, or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

Lou was a great friend of mine since Jr. High School. He will be missed. My condolences to William and family! Lou will be missed by many. Rest in Peace my friend!! Happy Heavenly Birthday Lou!! It was always great to see you at our High School reunions.
