PRATT, Louise Armstrong Mrs. Louise A. Pratt, 95, died Friday, (December 1, 2006) in Charlotte, NC. A Memorial Service to celebrate her life will be held at Cross and Crown Lutheran Church in Matthews, NC on Tuesday, December 5, at 2 p.m. Mrs. Pratt was born May 14, 1911 in Oxford, and was the daughter of the late Lee Armstrong and Lilly Warren Armstrong. She was raised in Bennington, VT and moved to Wethersfield, with her late husband, Lyndon U. Pratt to raise her family. Her sisters, Harley Armstrong and Catherine Armstrong, MD; and her brother John Armstrong also precede her in death. Mrs. Pratt graduated from The University of Vermont and was a member of the Alpha Chi Omega Sorority. She enjoyed attending the Opera, reading and was active in the Wethersfield Historical Society. In 2002, she moved to Charlotte to be closer to her daughter, Mary. Mrs. Pratt is survived by her son, John H. Pratt and daughter-in- law, Becky of Tulsa, OK; her daughter, Mary L. Phelps and son-in-law, Frank of Indian Trail, NC; and son, Michael W. Pratt of Estes Park, CO; her grandchildren, Timothy M. Card (Cynthia) of Coral Springs, FL, Elizabeth C. Burton (Stephen) of Matthews, NC, Joy E. Wilson of Tulsa, OK, John D. Pratt (Kara) of Tulsa, OK, and Sarah A. Elmore (Aaron) of Winston-Salem, NC; great grandchildren, Kasimir Pratt of Tulsa, OK, Joshua, Taylor, Kati Burton of Matthews, NC, and Dylan and Morgan Card of Coral Springs, FL; and her Niece Alice Armstrong of Delray Beach, FL. and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Public Library of Charlotte and Mecklenburg County, 310 North Tryon St., Charlotte, NC 28202. Heritage Funeral and Cremation Service, Indian Trail Chapel is caring for the Pratt family. Online condolences may be left at heritagefuneralhomes.com.
