Louretta Jean "Bones" Morgan, 84, passed away June 21, 2023, in New Braunfels, Texas. She was born in Washington, D.C. on November 12, 1938, to William Tungate and Victoria Rearick. Jean married Richard Morgan in 1959 and devoted her life to loving him and their two boys, Chris and Marc. Jean loved dancing to good country music, watching NASCAR and taking as many trips as she could, especially to play the slots in Louisiana and Eagle Pass.

Jean is preceded in death by her parents and her husband. Left to cherish her memory are her two sons, Chris Morgan and Marc (Stacy) Morgan; 2 granddaughters, Roxy and Kylie; grandson, Grady; 2 great-grandsons, Trey and Elliott; dear forever friends, Wanda Prochazka, Jane Skorrupa and Glenna Hackfeld, and many other friends from her longtime home in Orange Grove, Texas.

A celebration of Jean's life will be held on Thursday, June 29, 2023 at Seaside Funeral Home Chapel, 4357 Ocean Dr., Corpus Christi, Texas 78412. Family will begin receiving guests at 9:00am and funeral services will begin at 10:00am. Immediately following the service, guests are invited to gather in the reception room at Seaside. Immediate family members will join guests after a brief, private entombment ceremony.

In lieu of fresh flowers, the family welcomes plants and succulents in Jean's memory that can be shared with Jean's community of friends at The Blake Assisted Living Apartments. The service will be livestreamed and available for viewing at https://view.oneroomstreaming.com/index.php?data=MTY4NzgwODAxNzI1ODUwMCZvbmVyb29tLWFkbWluJnZpZXdfYnV0dG9u

Just learned of Jean's passing. She and husband Richard were good friends of ours, and we always enjoyed their company. Jean always made us laugh, and just sorry to have missed seeing her while here in New Braunfels.Just happy we shared this life walk together.
