M. Fesler Obituary

Published by The Daily Times from Jan. 17 to Jan. 18, 2018.
M. Howard Fesler III Howard Fesler passed away suddenly at home on Thursday, January 11, 2018, at the age of 58. Born in Hacienda Heights, California, Howard moved with his family to Upper Providence in 1973, and resided in Media until the time of his death. A lifelong learner, Howard was fascinated with world history, politics and religion. He belonged to historical reenactment and gaming groups over the years, which led him to his position as manager at the Compleat Strategist in King of Prussia. He had a sharp wit and could win pretty much any debate he so often started, driving his loving sister crazy. Howard is preceded in death by his parents, M. Howard Fesler, Jr., and LaVonne M. Fesler. He is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Kimberly Fesler and Robert McEwan, nephews Matthew and Dylan McEwan, wonderful cousins and friends who will miss him dearly. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, January 20, at 12pm, at the Media Cemetery, 40 Kirk Lane, Media. A reception in Howard’s honor will follow at 6pm at Compleat Strategist, 580 Shoemaker Rd # 6, King of Prussia. www.cavanaghfuneralhome.com

I have been searching for awhile for some old friends and came across this today. It saddened me deeply that I was too late.
Howie Fesler moved away from the Heights in 73' so alot of you won't know him, but to those if us who did,he was unforgettable.

Howie was ALWAYS laughing. Quick with a joke and his eyes twinkled like Santa when he made you smile.

A typical Surfer boy blond, with those bright blue eyes
I never forgot
I think he was my first crush
That wasn't on a poster in my room.
Both he and Beth Newell moved out of the Heights that Summer and I was so sad.
-Wish I could have said Hello again and goodbye.

I have just buried my own husband and hope they have met up there.

Deepest sympathy to his sister and family

Howard was a long time gaming buddy, a good friend, and took over the Strategist shop from me when I left the job, so I felt assured that shop was in great hands. I heard about his death late. I am grieving deeply and he will be greatly missed!

Howard was so much more that the store manager, a ready wit with a mischievous twinkle in his eyes, and so many memorable characters, so many great stories. A boon companion on any adventure. A friend who will never be replaced. Far thee well, Howard, we'll miss you.
