Mark and Susan,
I dont know if you will remember our family or not, but we lived behind you in Blueridge for many years when we were young. Your father was a good man and a good neighbor to us. We thought the world of your parents. Please accept our deepest sympathy and may your memories bring you comfort at this most difficult time. God Bless you.
Sincerely,
Rebecca Barnes Miller, Ruby Barnes Kestner, and John Barnes

I served as VP for Mental Health Services at Bristol Memorial Hospital/BRMC for twenty years. It was a pleasure knowing and working with Mark. He was always upbeat, friendly and cooperative. And when I hurt my back in the early Seventies, he provided some great, ?just-in-time? physical therapy. I made a full recovery. Mark and I also shared a love of nature, especially birds. Mark touched the lives of many people in a positive way, and he certainly left his ?mark? in the sands of the Bristol community.
Joan and I, along with our family (Jill, Jamie, and Hunter) extend our sincere love and condolences to Mark?s family.

Mark, We were sorry to hear about your Dad. Even though we don't see each other any more, we still remember our times together at Calvary Baptist. We're sorry about the loss of your Dad.

I was VP for Professional Services at Bristol Memorial Hospital from 1978 to 1986, and had the good fortune to have Mark as one of the department directors who reported to me. He was a true professional, who really cared about his patients and employees. We had a great employment relationship, and also had numerous opportunities to socialize away from the hospital, which Mark made very enjoyable. I considered him a friend, and wish I could have spent a longer time in Bristol to work with him. I will truly miss him.

Mark Spivey was one of the best physical therapist. He knew when to push and when to let the patient know they could do it alone. I always admired that about his professionalism was very much appreciated. I know he will be missed and I am so sorry for your loss. One of his former patients.
