MARIO P. "MARTY"
Of Tarentum, PA, formerly of Scott Twp, he died Sat., April 27, 2002 at the Alle-Kiski Medical Center, Natrona Hts; beloved husband of Vinnie M. Calderone Corso; father of Mrs. Mary Ann (Shawn) Norris of Kittanning, Mrs. Paula (Michael) Corso Winks of Brooklyn, NY; three grandchildren; brother of Dominic Corso of Brackenridge, Angelo Corso & Frank Corso both of Natrona Hts; son of the late Anthony & Rose Tigani Corso. Member of Holy Martyrs Parish, Sacred Heart-St Peter Worship Site, Tarentum. He retired in 1990 after 13 years with Chartiers Valley School District as Director of Business Services. He previously worked as Assistant Controller at the Metropolitan Pittsburgh Public Broadcasting Co. Also, from 1963 to 1976 at the Highland School District, Natrona Hts as Business Administrator & Board Secretary. He also was Circulation Director of the News Printing Co, Tarentum, PA from 1952 to 1963, and from 1951-1952 at the FBI, Washington, DC as Supervisor Defense Review Div. Mr. Corso was a decorated Veteran of U S Army Air Corps during WWII, serving in the Asiatic-Pacific Theatre. He was also a member of the Natrona Hts, VFW & the Brackenridge American Legion. Friends will be received at the DUSTER FUNERAL HOME, 347 East Tenth Ave., Tarentum, PA., (724) 224-1526. Visitation Monday 7-9 pm, Tuesday 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Christian Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, May 1, 10:00 am at Sacred Heart-St Peter Worship Site. Interment Our Lady of Hope Cemetery, Frazer Twp.

The School Board and Administrative Staff remember the gentle spirit and expert service that Marty provided to the Sto-Rox School District. We are saddened at his passing.

Dear Vinnie,
Just read the PG and the report of Marty's death. It's been 2-3 years since we saw you (at Tick's Hall of Fame banquet at the Sheraton, I think. We have some wonderful memories of our days at PASBO and ASBO conferences. May I send our sympathy to you and your daughters. Love, Dorothy & Bob
